He has been hospitalised several times, undergone operations and been prescribed strong medication during that time.
A spokesman for the Dr Raj Mattu Reinstatement Committee (DRMRC) said: "Dr Mattu has refused to bow to the intense pressure applied to him by trust managers who openly expressed their intention to dismiss him.
"As a local boy, he refused to give up and move elsewhere and has remained wholly committed to remaining in the area to care for local people amongst whom he grew up.
"Having been resoundingly vindicated we hope that Dr Mattu will be able to rebuild his life and career at UHCW NHS Trust and Warwick University."
A hospital spokesperson said: "We cannot comment on the decision of the GMC."
"The trust takes its responsibility as an employer seriously and always endeavours to act in the public’s best interests."
