Prologis Developments Limited has let its recently completed 310,000 sq ft distribution warehouse at ProLogis Park at Coventry to Co-operative Group.
The deal was signed on the day of the building's practical completion.
The rent achieved is close to the asking price of £5.50 per sq ft and brings the total warehouse space let at ProLogis Park to nearly 1.5m sq ft.
This latest letting at ProLogis Park, Coventry leaves available just one last plot that can accommodate a distribution warehouse of up to 220,000 sq ft.
The building let to the Cooperative Group is known as DC2 and has been speculatively built.
It features 28 dock levellers and over 10,000 sq ft of office accommodation.
The facility is adjacent to the similar sized building at ProLogis Park that was let to Tesco in May last year.
Alan Sarjant, ProLogis First Vice President, said: "Once again we have got our timing spot on and is proof in the value we attach to thoroughly understanding the market.
It was clear that we were on the right lines in speculatively developing a building of that size at Coventry, where ProLogis Park continues to prove popular with occupiers, not only for its geographical advantages, but also due to the excellent demographic profile for distribution companies."
The new warehouse forms part of the flagship distribution park developed from the former Keresley Colliery.
The scheme at junction 3 M6 is rail served and covers some 300-acres. It hosts a range of occupiers including Bridgestone, Safeway, Terex Benford, Mastercare, Domestic & General, Tesco and now the Co-operative Group
North Rae Sanders and D&P Holt are the joint agents for ProLogis; Strutt & Parker advised the Cooperative Group Limited.
