I WAS lucky enough to see the Cassidy Coventry Blaze win the Elite League on Sunday at the Sky Dome Arena and it was a pleasure to watch the team lift the trophy and the atmosphere was amazing. It is brilliant to see at least one of the sporting teams in Coventry be successful.
I also witnessed the football team edge closer to safety thanks to a goal in the first half by Jay Tabb and again the team were a credit to themselves. Chris Coleman has now had five games to stamp his mark on the team and the team have gained seven points during this period out of a possible twenty-one. We have a hard run-in from now to the end of the season and because the league is so tight there are few teams with nothing to play for - either to gain promotion or avoid relegation so every game is now a cup final and every point crucial is we don't want to watch League One football next season.
