Elbourn was the genial host and provided welcome refreshments for the 199
golfers at the halfway house.
Meanwhile, Kenilworth’s juniors made the most of near perfect
conditions on Sunday to post some excellent scores in the Committee Trophy.
Best of the field
was Tom Gaunt whose round of 88 playing off a handicap of 27 gave him an
excellent nett 61 to finish three shots clear of his nearest rival Ben
Whidborne.
Division One was
won by Jacob Forster who produced a nett 66 to finish comfortably ahead of
Robert Owens nett 69 and Daniel
Lane nett 71.
Gaunt’s nett 61
placed him top of Division Two with Whidborne securing second place on nett 64.
Jimmy Bull was third on countback from Matt Budd when both players carded
respectable scores of nett 67.
The best gross of
the day went to Rob Owens with 74.
