BARRY GREENER sent in this festive old school picture from Stivichall Primary School in the late 1940s. Barry, of Green Lane, said: "It is of boys born in 1942 dressed as shepherds for a school Nativity play. What I cannot help but wonder is, where are the girls? "Were they all dressed as Mary? Can any of your lady readers throw light as to whether they had their own photographs? "This photo was taken in a hut at the east end of the main building. It would soon be demolished to make way for the new dining hall and infants' school, which, themselves, are currently being demolished. "Faces I recognise in this photo are of Peter Hickman and Keith Dale (centre, back row); Barry Phillips and David Arnold (right, centre row). Do any others recognise themselves?"
