THESE pictures of Cheylesmore Youth Club teams were sent in by Brian Harvey and date from 1948-50.
They are all from successful Youth Cup-winning teams.
Brian, of Deansway, Ash Green, said all the lads were aged from 16 to 18 and the club disbanded in 1950 when most players went in for National Service.
Brian said: "Players and friends still get together at least four times and we have a Christmas meal.
"The club formed in 1947 when six of us approached the council and asked if there was anything they could do for the area because at the end of the war there was nothing to do. . "We played football on Whitley Common until they started digging it up and then we moved to the Memorial Park."
