EILEEN BARLOW, of Canon Drive, Ash Green, sent in this Christmas pic of the past from her days when she was a ward sister. She said: "This was taken about 20 years ago. High View Care of the Elderly Hospital at Exhall had been closed down, we moved to four wards at Gulson Hospital. The photograph shows our ward on Christmas Eve ready for the patients to be put to bed; Santa's sack ready for his visit on the bottom of everyone's bed. A momentary lull prior to a hectic, lovely Christmas Day. The ward is being inspected by one of our staff nurses."
