The Nuneaton slimming firm that is growing into a bigger base

Oct 24 2008

By Emma Ray

A NUNEATON woman’s business is expanding as her clients’ waistlines are shrinking.

Dawn Burton, Counsellor of LighterLife in Nuneaton, has taken a lease on a property on Attleborough Road, through property consultants D&P Holt Ltd.

The building, in Albion Court, will be used to run the company’s Weight Loss Programme and to house offices for the running of the company.

Dawn, who lost four stone with LighterLife herself, began to take on clients in April while based at Caldwell Road in Nuneaton, and now has around 80 people signed up to shed the unwanted stones.

“We help people to face up to and acknowledge an addiction to food, and this new building will help us to continue doing that,” she said.

“This was the first property I spotted and I new it was perfect straight away, so I’m delighted. It’s almost as if it was meant to be. It will be the only way in which I will be expanding.”

Dawn was helped into her new base by Simon Mepstead, 49, from Nuneaton who has lost eight and half stone in the 23 weeks since he started his slimming regime, when he first weighed in at 26 stone 9 pounds.

Marie Farrell, of property consultants D&P Holt, is delighted that the unit will accommodate a company with such a worthwhile cause and a proven track record.

She said: “It is great to see Dawn and LighterLife move into the property here. I think this location will suit them perfectly and hopefully the business will continue to grow and help many more people.”
