Ashley Spencer's late strike sees Greenbacks take top spot

ASHLEY Spencer netted an injury time winner to steer Bedworth to a 2-1 win over Woodford on Tuesday night to go joint top of the Evo-Stik Division One Central. In the rearranged fixture from a fortnight ago when floodlight failure caused the game to be abandoned, it was the Greenbacks who made the running and swept in front on six minutes when Matt Brown rammed home a rising 25-yarder. But on 15 minutes Glen Hawkins headed an equaliser. It was left to Spencer to scramble in the winner three minutes into time added on to the delight of the home faithful.
