Striker Justin Marsden bids farewell to Nuneaton Town

Jan 27 2012

NUNEATON Town have released versatile Justin Marsden.

The former Rugby and Telford striker met manager Kevin Wilkin earlier this week to discuss his future after struggling to hold down a regular first-team place this season.

Marsden, who joined the club in the summer of 2008, has made just seven league starts this term and scored once, the goal coming in the 5-0 win at Eastwood.

Marsden wanted to move on so he can play more regularly.

Boro chairman Ian Neale said: “Justin is a great lad, a really big character in the squad whose presence is known when he is around.

“I thank him for his service and contribution to the club over the past three years and wish him the very best of luck for the future.”
