Old rivals team up for success at Nuneaton gym

Aug 6 2010

OLD rivals Pete Meggitt and Andy Pallett have teamed up at a Nuneaton gym and are working side by side.

Pete has recently became a partner within the gym at the Harry Cleaver Sports Ground and works next door to Andy who is manager of the club’s squash courts.

The duo have fought many battles over the years in the Warwickshire Squash Leagues but they now work together to keep business flowing at the Weddington Road facility.

Pete, who is trained as a financial advisor, is confident of playing to the gym’s strength to bring in new customers.

He said: “We have known each other for more than 25 years and I guess it’s fair to say our early encounters on the squash court were a bit feisty to say the least. I am happy to say that we have mellowed over the years and have become good friends.”

“One of the things that makes this gym stand out is that it has a successful women’s-only section - which incorporates specially designed resistance equipment. We have recently added a number of free circuit training sessions for our members, with further classes in the pipeline.”

“I also want to offer out the studio room to local groups who want to come in for yoga, pilates, Weight Watchers, women’s institutes, whatever.” For more information call Pete on 07957 795363.
