Shaun Williamson set to star at the Nuneaton Carnival

HE MAY have been bumped off by Janine Butcher in Eastenders, but actor Shaun Williamson is alive and kicking - and attending Nuneaton Carnival in June. Currently starring in Extras with Ricky Gervais, Shaun, who played Barry in the hit soap, will hit Nuneaton on Sunday, June 15. He will do a tour of businesses in the town centre before the carnival and will then be in the procession before heading for the gala field. Robin Thomas, carnival chairman, said: "We are delighted that Shaun has been able to fit a visit to Nuneaton into his schedule and I'm sure he will be able to meet many of his fans on carnival day. "It will help with our promotion of carnival and ensure that we are able to raise as much money as possible for local charities and community groups."
