...but it's full steam ahead for Lights, Camera, Action 2
By Emma Ray
AN INABILITY to cast performers for the Nuneaton Amateur Dramatic and Society's A Slice of Saturday Night has led to the postponement of the show.
It will now take to the stage in November. The group is now performing Lights, Camera, Action 2, which opens at the Abbey Theatre on Tuesday, June 17.
It will run until Saturday, June 21, with performances at 7.30pm nightly. It is a sequel to Lights, Camera, Action from three years ago but runs on a different format.
Production team for the show is Kevin Benson, director and writer, Sally Marston, choreographer, and Rob West, musical director.
The story is musicals that have been movies as well as stage shows. To add some glamour it will be based on an award night and members of the public will be able to vote for their favourite in advance.
We will then announce the winners on the night. Shows included are Sweeney Todd, Hairspray, Rent, Mamma Mia! and many more. Tickets are available from the hotline on 024 7673 8007 priced at s5 and s4 for concessions.
